CELTIC MAKE ENQUIRY TO BUY FORMER CLUB OF AUSTRALIAN MIDFIELDER TOM ROGIC

The Scottish champions are keen to invest in the homeland of one of their star attacking players

Celtic are considering making an offer to buy A-League club Central Coast Mariners - the team from which they signed midfielder Tom Rogic.

The Scottish champions sent representatives to Australia earlier this month to visit the Gosford-based club's facilities and attend their 2-0 win over Sydney FC on November 10, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

A link between the two clubs was established in 2012 when Australian international Rogic moved from Central Coast to Celtic for a reported fee of around AU$700,000.
