Arsenal are pondering a move to try and sign Mehdi Benatia from Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Gunners are interested in bringing the 31-year-old Morocco international to The Emirates this summer.
The same report says that Juventus could be prepared to sell the centre-half and that the Italian club value him at around £20m, which would be within Arsenal’s transfer budget.

Arsenal have already bolstered their defensive options this summer by confirming the signing of right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner on Tuesday.
It remains to be seen whether new manager Unai Emery will continue to bolster his squad by bringing in Benatia this summer as he looks to build a squad capable of breaking back into the top four next season.
