Conte, the Chelsea head coach, has found himself under pressure despite leading the west Londoners to the Premier League title last season. Defeat at the hands of Roma, 3-0 on Tuesday, followed reports that Chelsea’s players were frustrated by Conte’s training methods, and another loss today could see the Blues 12 points off top spot.
Both Chelsea and United have players missing, with Victor Moses missing for the hosts and Jesse Lingard out for the Red Devils having picked up a back problem during Tuesday’s win over Benfica.
Chelsea have lost only one of their last 15 Premier League home matches against Man United (in 2012), and they claimed two wins at the Bridge last season – beating Mourinho’s side in both the league and the FA Cup.
