Luis Suarez has apologised to Philippe Coutinho for failing to give his new team-mate an assist on his Barcelona debut. Coutinho made his first appearance for the Catalan side on Thursday evening following his £142million switch from Liverpool. Coming on as a substitute in the 68th minute, Coutinho impressed as he helped Barcelona hold on to a 2-0 lead against Espanyol. The result saw his new team advance to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey with a 2-1 aggregate score.
