Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane feeling the pressure after draw with second tier Numancia

Zinedine Zidane watched on as his Real Madrid side were held to a 2-2 draw by Numancia

Zinedine Zidane has admitted the pressure is beginning to pile on him after Real Madrid edged into the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Two goals from Lucas Vazquez were enough to secure a 5-2 aggregate win despite a Real side, who were without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, being held to a 2-2 draw by second-tier Numancia.
Zidane looked a frustrated figure, as were much of the home support around him, in the dugout at the Bernabeu and the Real legend admitted his new contract, which he agreed to in September, 'means nothing'

'I just go game to game, year to year,' said Zidane. 'I cannot think two or three years down the line, as I know how it is here, even having a contract, which means nothing.
'It is not easy for the players who play less. We played a good game. We maybe lacked a bit of gas at the end.
'I am happy with what the players did. The pity is the goal before half-time, and also a goal at the end. But apart from that we had a good game, and they did what they had to do.'

Lucas Vazquez scored twice at the Bernabeu to ensure a 5-2 aggregate win on Wednesday

After Real's early flourishing since Zidane's appointment in January 2016, where Zidane has led his side to back-to-back Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup crowns, as well as the La Liga title, it seems Los Blancos have hit a blip in their brief period of dominance.
Real are worlds adrift of their El Clasico rivals Barcelona, who top the La Liga tree by nine points and sit 16 clear of Zidane's struggling Real.
