David De Gea may soon sign for Real Madrid

David De Gea will leave Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid at some point in the future, according to journalist Duncan Castles.

The Spanish goalkeeper is no stranger to being linked with a move to Real Madrid and he came within a whisker of signing for the Spanish giants in the summer of 2015 before the transfer fell through at the final hour due to paperwork issues.
The 27-year-old has been earning a reputation as one of the world’s top goalkeepers at Manchester United in recent seasons and he continues to be linked with a move back to his native Spain.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will firm up their reported interest in De Gea either this summer or in the future.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: “His contract situation is questionable at Man United.
“He doesn’t believe he is being paid what he merits given he has been their best player five seasons in a row. He will be a Real Madrid player at some time. I am confident of that.”
Manchester United have already begun their summer recruitment drive early this year, with the Red Devils having wrapped up deals to bring both Fred and Diogo Dalot to Old Trafford in recent days.
