Nabil Fekir and Co take on Spartak youth players in France training

France played Spartak Moscow's Under 19 team in a friendly on Sunday during training
France wasted no time in returning to training ahead of their second World Cup group game against Peru and played Spartak Moscow's Under 19 team in a friendly on Sunday.
A number of players that did not feature or played small roles in their 2-1 win over Australia on Saturday took to the pitch at their base in Istra for a light session.
Olivier Giroud, Nabil Fekir and Benjamin Mendy were among those to take part on Sunday as Didier Deschamps assessed his fringe players.
The French manager played a strong team against the Russian side's youth players, with Steve Mandanda lining up in goal.
Djibril Sidibe, Adil Rami, Presnel Kimpembe and Mendy made up the back four with Steven N'Zonzi and Blaise Matuidi in front of them.
Florian Thauvin, Fekir and Thomas Lemar formed a terrifying attacking trio behind lone striker Giroud. Third-choice goalkeeper Alphonse Areola was in between the posts for the Russian side.
The game lasted for around an hour and both sets of players gathered for a photograph after the final whistle. Those stars that did feature in the win over Australia were put through their paces in a gym session instead.
