Manchester City agree £60m deal with Leicester for Riyad Mahrez

Manchester City agree £60m deal with Leicester for Riyad Mahrez... with winger set for medical in next 48 hours.

Mahrez nearly signed for City in January but a late chase fell through at the eleventh hour
Manchester City have agreed a £60million deal with Leicester for long-term target Riyad Mahrez, with the winger set to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.
The Premier League champions failed with a late January bid for the Algerian, but he now looks to be heading for the Etihad Stadium in the summer window instead.
Mahrez is yet to return for pre-season training with Leicester after being granted extra leave, and he is now unlikely to reunite with his Foxes team-mates.
Talks have been completed between the two clubs, and the 27-year-old's big move is set to be completed in the coming days following the conclusion of his medical.
Pep Guardiola is a long-term admirer of Mahrez, and will have been impressed with his dedication in the second half of the season at Leicester despite coming close to an exit in the January window.
City tried to sign him on deadline day just six months ago, but were rebuffed at the eleventh hour by the Foxes as they tried to recoup close to £100m for their player.
Initially it looked as though the failed deal would wreak havoc when Mahrez went AWOL and failed to turn up for Leicester training for 10 days, but he soon returned and pledged his commitment to the club.
