Real Madrid star listening to Man Utd: Jose Mourinho assures him of key role

Raphael Varane

The centre-half is feeling underappreciated at the Bernabeu alongside captain Sergio Ramos.
While the France international has endured injury problems, Varane feels those are fully behind him.
But Real are continually linked with new centre-halves who could take his place in the team.
Varane is said to be getting fed up and thinking of leaving next summer.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, the France star is willing to listen to Jose Mourinho’s calls.
The United boss assures Varane he would be an important figure at Old Trafford.
But it appears Mourinho still feels they need strengthening, with injuries a constant problem in central defence for United too.
Marcos Rojo has only just returned from a serious knee issue, while Jones and Bailly miss out today against Brighton (3pm) through injury.
If Varane continues to not feel valued at Real, he could look to reunite with Mourinho next year.
