The 25-year-old playmaker officially completed his big-money move to Camp Nou after having been relentlessly linked with a switch to the club over the last few months.
Coutinho was thought to be close to joining Barcelona in the summer but Liverpool FC decided to keep hold of the attacker and he played the first half of the season at Anfield.
However, Barcelona returned with a fresh offer for the playmaker this month and he finally completed his move in a deal reported to be worth as much as £142m.
Coutinho will now get ready for life at Camp Nou and a new chapter in his career with Barcelona.
And Liverpool FC star Wijnaldum took to social media to wish him all of the best with a post on his Instagram account.
Wijnaldum shared the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote the caption: “It’s been a pleasure playing with you and watching you playing. My very best wishes for the future @phil.coutinho .”
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC will now prepare for life without Coutinho when they take on Premier League leaders Manchester City in the top flight on Sunday afternoon at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification for the second season in a row.
