The Armenia playmaker has been settling into life with the Gunners after his transfer to The Emirates as part of the same deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Manchester United.
Mkhitaryan helped Arsenal claim a 3-0 victory over Ostersunds in the last 32 of the Europa League on Thursday night to all but secure their place in the last 16.
The 29-year-old knows a thing or two about Europa League glory, after having helped Manchester United to win the competition under Jose Mourinho last season.
And the playmaker says that he is focused on trying to help the Gunners win the Europa League this season and secure a route back into the Champions League.
Speaking to BT Sport on Thursday night, Mkhitaryan said when asked if they can win the competition: “Why not? We have to keep fighting, we have to win every game and then at the end, we’ll see where we’re at.”
Arsenal return to action next Thursday night with the return leg against the Swedish side as they bid to try and reach the last 16 of the competition.
The north London side will then take on Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday 25 February as they look to win another major cup trophy under Arsene Wenger.
